Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October 2024, countertenor Carlo Vistoli will be the interpreter of Claudio Monteverdi’s Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda for the Verdi Festival with the Ghislieri Consort. Semi-staged version at the Teatro Farnese in Parma by Fabio Cherstich.
On Tuesday 15 October, at 9 p.m. in the wonderful Monreale Cathedral near Palermo soprano Sandrine Piau will star in a special concert of the Settimana di Musica Sacra, with works of Vivaldi and Händel, with the Arianna Art Ensemble and conductor Giulio Prandi.
From 16 October 2024 soprano Alice Rossi will make her debut at Rome Opera – Teatro Nazionale in Silvia Colasanti's new opera L'ultimo viaggio di Sindbad staged by Luca Micheletti. Further performances on 18, 20, 22 and 23 October.
Bass Stephen Richardson returns to Rome for Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes, on stage at Teatro dell'Opera from 11 to 19 October, conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Deborah Warner.
