On Saturday 31 August at 8:30 p.m., at the Church of S.M. Nuova in Viterbo, Andrea de Carlo will conduct the opening concert of ‘Alessandro Stradella’ Baroque Festival – of which he is founder – with the Ensemble Mare Nostrum. Stradella’s oratorio San Giovanni Battista will be first performed in the Festival.
Carlo Vistoli will sing works by F. Cavalli, A. Cesti, C. Monteverdi, G. Frescobaldi, D. Castello, and A. Stradella in a recital entitled “Amor Tiranno” with Ensemble Sezione Aurea at the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona on June 21 at 9:30 PM.
