Andrea De Carlo is conducting Alessandro Stradella’s serenata Ecco amore ch’altero risplende with the Stradella Y-Project, which he founded. The performances will take place on Friday, September 12 at the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in San Michele in Teverina; Saturday, September 13 at 9:30 PM at Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola; Sunday, September 14 at Palazzo Altieri in Oriolo Romano (where the piece was first performed in 1676); and Monday, September 15 at the Church of San Pietro in Nepi.
Carlo Vistoli will sing works by F. Cavalli, A. Cesti, C. Monteverdi, G. Frescobaldi, D. Castello, and A. Stradella in a recital entitled “Amor Tiranno” with Ensemble Sezione Aurea at the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona on June 21 at 9:30 PM.
