Patrizia Biccirè has taken up an international career which has led her to perform in many of the main opera theatres such as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Regio di Torino, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Barbican Center (London), Théatre du Chatelet and Théatre des Champs Elysées (Paris), Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opéra di Montecarlo, Grand Théatre de Genève, Teatro Rea (Madrid), Teatro Sao Carlo (Lisbona), Lincoln Center of Performing Arts and BAM Brooklin Academy (New York), Teatro Municipal de Santiago (Chile), New National Theatre (Tokyo),  Melbourne Festival of Arts (Australia).

After graduating in singing, she attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, having her debut in La scala di seta at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.

She was an  acclaimed interpreter of Monteverdi’s and Mozart’s operas, as well as Rossini’s,  moving from the roles of Giulia in La scala di seta, Fiorilla in Il Turco in Italia to Susanna, Zerlina, and Despina and later to more dramatic roles such as Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust, Elettra in Mozart’s Idomeneo, Mathilde in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell, Cio Cio San in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Adalgisa in Bellini’s Norma at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Michele Mariotti.

She sang with conductors such as Antonio Pappano, Riccardo Muti, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir J. E. Gardiner, R. Jacobs, P. Herreweghe, L. Langrée, O. Dantone, R. Alessandrini, A. Zedda, E. Pidò, M. Guidarini, Fabio Biondi, Michele Mariotti, and with world-renowned directors such as Graham Vick, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Willy Decker, Hugo De Ana, Roberto de Simone, Mario Martone, Luigi Squarzina, Ferruccio Soleri, Emilio Sagi, Davide Livermore, Christoph Loy, Anne Therèsa de Keersmaeker, Damiano Michieletto, Luca de Fusco, Franco Ripa di Meana, Karl Ernst and Ursel Herrmann, Massimo Gasparon, Trisha Brown, Arnaud Bernard.

She has recorded Puccini’s La rondine for EMI, conductor Antonio Pappano; Rossini’s La pietra del paragone (CD and DVD), conductor Alberto Zedda, directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi; Notturno, music for the night for Opera Rara; Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (Poppea) for Brilliant Classics; La serva padrona (CD and DVD) conducted by Sigiswald Kuijken with the direction of Ferruccio Soleri. In 2011, she recorded the opera Aprima’t en 3 dies!, written for her by Catalan composer Alberto Garcia Demestres.

She held masterclasses at the Showa Music University in Tokyo, the Villa Chiericati Schiavon, Vicenza  and at the Accademia Musicale Gigli in Recanati.
