Paweł ŻAK

Paweł Żak is a student of the last year of master’s studies in Music Academy in Lodz, where he studies with professor Krzysztof Bednarek. In June 2021 he gained a diploma of Undergraduate Studies.

His repertoire includes operatic roles from different musical periods from operas such as Verdi’s La Traviata (Gaston de Letorieres), Moniuszko’s Flis (Franek), Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor (Damazy), Haydn’s Il Mondo della Luna (Ecclitico) and Lo speziale (Mengone) which he sang in Poland and abroad. With this last role he will debut in March 2023 in Trondheim Opera.

He performed also oratorio parts such as Mozart’s Requiem D minor, Haendel’s Messiah or Bach’s cantatas (e.g. BWV 8 and BWV 140) in Polish philharmonic and during festivals.

In December 2021 he took a part in a world premiere of Planet Report composed by Ryszard Alzin.

He has studied at many vocal courses and has worked with many conductors (e.g. Jan Willem de Vriend, Grzegorz Wierus, Paweł Przytocki, Michał Kocimski, Jerzy Swoboda, Zbigniew Pilch, Liliana Krych) and directors such as Eva Buchmann, Beata Redo – Dobber, Małgorzata Flegel, Andrzej Ferenc.
