MEZZO
Silvia Regazzo was born in Rovigo. After a Master Degree in Philosophy, she graduated in Singing with honors at Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello of Venice. She won various International Singing Competitions: Toti Dal Monte, Città Lirica Opera-Studio, Città di Bologna (Young Talents section) and Giulio Neri (Chamber Music section). She made her debut as Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff. Later she sang Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Cornelia in Händel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Orphée in Gluck-Berlioz’s Orphée, Volpino in Haydn’s Lo Speziale, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Third Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberfloete, Pippo in Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra (Teatro Filarmonico, Verona), Rosina and Berta in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Stephano in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (Teatro Grande, Brescia), Meg and Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto (Teatro Comunale, Ferrara), Lady-in-waiting in Verdi’s Macbeth, Lola in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Beppe in Mascagni’s Amico Fritz (Teatro Lirico, Cagliari), Marta and Pantalis in A.
