Rocco Cavalluzzi graduated with  honours at the Conservatorium of Music L. Perosi in his home town Campobasso.   In 2014 he attended the Academy of Belcanto “Rodolfo Celletti” in Martina Franca where he was awarded  “best talent” prize. He studied at Teatro alla Scala Academy where he obtained the scholarship entitled to  Bass Paolo Montarsolo.

In 2017 Rocco won the Toti Dal Monte Competition in Treviso and made his debut in the role of Raimondo in Donizetti’s Lucia Di Lammermoor at the Theaters of Treviso and Ferrara under the baton of Alapont. At La Scala in Milan he performed in a production of Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia and in several concerts. He  sang  Rossini Stabat Mater  with Orchestra del Friuili Venezia Giulia, then  he was  London to sing a Chamber Concert at the  Wigmore Hall accompanied by Vincent Scalera.   He opened the season 2019/20 at the Teatro Sociale in Como as Gessler in Rossini’s Guglielmo Tell, with performances also in Brescia, Pavia  and Cremona.  In 2019 The Music Festival in Innsbruck invited him  to perform in Cesti’s La Dori conducted by Ottavio Dantone and directed by Stefano Vizioli.  He  made his debut at Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice in the opera Pinocchio by Valtinoni ;  he sang la Cambiale di Matrimonio at   Donizetti Festival in Bergamo and Gubetta in Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia in Essen.

Rocco Cavalluzzi ’s most recent achievements include the debuts at  La Scala  in Milano and at Carlo Felice Theater in Genova  , respectively in the roles of Ourskan in Alì Babà e I 40 ladroni by Cherubini (Conductor  Cargnani, director L. Cavani);   Deputato Fiammingo in Don Carlo by  Verdi (Conductor M.W. Chung , Director  Peter Stein) and Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte (Conductor Jonathan Webb , director Ettore Scola).  In 2022-23 season he sang Lord Sidney in  Il Viaggio a Reims by Rossini in Augsburg, Idalma by Pasquini , a world premiere in modern times, at the Potsdam Festival with Alessandro De Marchi  ;  Beethoven   Symphony n.9 with the Orchestra Sinfonica Abbruzzese. In october 2023 he will  be  Achilla in Haendel’s Giulio Cesare in Rome Opera, conductor  Rinaldo Alessandrini, production by Damiano Michieletto.

In 2016 he also sang the roles of Pancratio in the rediscovery Baroque Opera by Cesti, Le nozze in Sogno, at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik under direction of Alessio Pizzeck and Enrico Onofri on the pit; Monterone in Rigoletto by Verdi in Verdi Theater of Busseto ,as well the role of Sparafucile at the Theater of Savona. He was also engaged in the role of Conte in the Opera Nina pazza per Amore at the Paisiello Festival in Taranto, and in the role of Snug in  Midsummer night’s Dream by Britten in the theaters of Cremona, Brescia, Como, Pavia and Reggio Emilia.

He sung in 2015  the role of Don Prudenzio in  Il Viaggio a Reims by Rossini at the Coccia Theater of Novara ,conductor  M. Beltrami , director  G. Solari. At Petruzzelli Theater of Bari,  Rocco Cavalluzzi  sung the role of Colline in  Bohème by Puccini, conductor Barbacini as well as  Sacerdote di Belo in  Nabucco  (Conductor  Böer) and Sciarrone in  Tosca (Conductor Bisanti director Agostinucci).

As a winner of the Tenerife Opera competition, Rocco Cavalluzzi in the 2014 took part to the Opera Studio and sang the role of Alidoro in  Cenerentola by Rossini at the Auditorium of Tenerife  and then at the Theatres  in Rovigo , in Milano  at Teatro alla Scala    in the matinées program. In the same year he was at the Festival della Valle d’Itria as Mago Geonca in La donna serpente by Casella under the baton of Fabio Luisi , directed by Arturo Cirillo as well as  the title role in the Noye’s Fludde by Britten   and   the role of Roberto in Don Checco by De Giosa.

Rocco Cavalluzzi also sang La Traviata (Dottor Grenvil , conductor Rustioni ,  Ferzan Özpetek production) ,  Rigoletto Conte di Ceprano conducted by C. Rizzari  director   D. Krief), in Bari Teatro Petruzzelli, Carmen (Zuniga) at  Teatro Savoia in Campobasso, Mozart Requiem in Taranto; Un Ballo in maschera (Tom) in the  Aslico ‘s  production; Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro) at the theatre Umberto Giordano in Foggia.
