Maria Stella Maurizi was born in Fabriano in 1998. At the age of sixteen, she was studying with Beatrice Mezzanotte then at G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro with Valeria Esposito and Anna Vandi. On December 2020 she obtained her degree in Lyrical Singing cum laude . She is at present studying with Anna Vandi in Pesaro
In September 2020 she was awared with the first prize at the international competition ‘Giovani Musicisti – Città di Treviso’. In May 2021 she won the 75th ‘European Community’ Competition for Young Opera Singers at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto and In September 2021 she sang the role of Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly conducted by Carlo Palleschi in Spoleto at Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti and at Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia. In June 2022, she took part as Sarada Devi in the European premiere of Philip Glass’s oratorio The Passion of Ramakrishna in Budapest, conducted by Ivan Fischer , opera also performed at the opening concert of the 65th Festival dei Due Mondi.
In August 2022 she was Micaela in the Tragédie de Carmen by Marius Costant, Jean-Claude Carrière and Peter Brook (adaptation from Bizet) conducted by Carlo Palleschi, directed by Alessio Pizzech at the Teatro Caio Melisso in Spoleto. In September of the same year she made her debut as Donna Anna in W. A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni, conducted by Salvatore Percacciolo , directed by Henning Brockhaus at the Teatro Nuovo Giancarlo Menotti in Spoleto and at Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia. In 2023 she was in Martina Franca at the Festival della Valle d’Itria, as part of the Academy’s activities.
During the last years she attended masterclasses of José Carreras, Mariella Devia, Roberto de Candia, Marina Comparato, Marco Boemi, Enza Ferrari, Renato Bruson, Carmela Remigio.
