QUARTET
VenEthos Ensemble was founded by Giacomo Catana, Mauro Spinazzè, violins, Francesco Lovato, viola, Massimo Raccanelli, cello, four musicians linked not only by a deep friendship but also by a common desire to propose a new interpretation – on period instruments – of the 18th and 19th centuries repertoire for quartet .
The name refers to the land of origin of the four members and, more specifically, to the great Venetian string tradition from which the musicians come from, which gives the group a strong stylistic identity, as well as to the ‘Ethos’ of Greek philosophy, according to which music affects people’s psyche and emotions.
